Thailand's Chuandusi Royal University (also translated as Xuandus Royal University) was founded on May 17, 1934. It was originally called Home Economics Special High School. It was originally Thailand's first affiliated to the Vocational Education Department of the Ministry of Education. A home economics high school. In 1945, the name was changed to Bangkok Home Economics School. In 1961, the Ministry of Education upgraded it to a college and changed its name to Chuandenxi Normal College. In 1974, it obtained the right to confer bachelor's degrees. In 1992, the king named the college "Royal" and renamed it Sawa Toki Royal College. In 2004, it was renamed Chuan Toki Royal University.
