12 years
Only after native officials have served in active service for 12 years can they be assigned jobs by the government. For college graduate soldiers (including directly recruited non-commissioned officers, the same below), it only takes 8 or 9 years to serve until the expiration of the sergeant period. To meet the conditions for placement, they must serve to the fourth-level sergeant major.
Anyone who has served in the army for more than 12 years can choose to transfer to work and arrange a job at home. The job arrangements are divided into several situations. Now the choice of transfer and resettlement when returning home is based on performance in the army, service in remote areas and military service. Determined by age.
From a fair point of view, if college graduate soldiers can be assigned a job after serving 8 or 9 years in active service, the larger number of non-commissioned officers in the army must serve 12 years in active service before they can be assigned a job. It's unfair. After all, serving 3-4 more years makes a huge difference.
In terms of consistency, if it is assumed that 3 or 4 years of schooling should be counted as military age, this is consistent with the policy provision that "when retiring and relocating national defense student cadres, college age is not counted as military age." conflicts and failed to maintain the consistency and coherence of military policy.
For retired soldiers who are self-employed, the army will issue a one-time retirement payment, and the one-time retirement payment will be specially arranged by the central government; the local people's government can provide economic subsidies according to the actual local conditions, and the economic subsidy standards and payment Measures shall be stipulated by the people's governments of provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government.
