Discipline characteristics: Mainly dedicated to Comprehensive research on theories and methods of intelligent systems, network traffic measurement, dynamic scheduling of network resources, quality of service (QoS), information security, and biological information processing, and develop multimedia wireless transmission technology and multimedia terminal protocol stack software for third-generation mobile communication systems Research and development, etc., are in an internationally renowned position in the research of rough set theory. It has undertaken a number of national, provincial and ministerial level projects such as the National 863 Program, the National 973 Preliminary Special Program, the National Natural Science Foundation and the Climbing Program. Hosted two domestic conferences (CRSSC2001 and CRSSC2003) and two international academic conferences (RSFDGrC2003 and IFKT2008). It has the Ministry of Information Industry and Chongqing Municipal “Computer Network and Communications Key Laboratory” and is committed to platform construction and openness. Discipline characteristics: 1) Pay equal attention to computer software theory and application research. Mainly engaged in the research and development of software components and architecture, geographic information systems, database technology, etc. In addition, with funding from the Korean government, we are also engaged in research on positioning server technology in third-generation mobile communications.

2) Postgraduate and undergraduate education focus on cultivating high-level software talents who are in line with international standards, have solid theoretical foundations, and strong practical abilities and are oriented to society, enterprises, and applications.

3) Cooperate extensively with international and domestic companies, enterprises and governments in the fields of software talent training, science and technology research and other fields. Focus on research in three directions: computer networks, network parallel computing and resource management, and embedded systems and applications. Actively organize forces, plan projects, and strive for funding plans from the national and local governments. At the same time, we also rely on the school's scientific research funds to carry out pre-research on key directions on self-defined research topics to lay the foundation for further projects.

From January 2006 to January 2008, it won 1 National Natural Science Foundation project, 1 national standardization project, and multiple provincial and ministerial projects and horizontal projects, with scientific research funding of 5.04 million yuan. Professor Günther Greiner received his bachelor's degree and doctorate degree in mathematics from the University of Tuebingen, Germany, in 1978 and 1980 respectively. Since 1990, he has been a professor of computer science and leader of the computer imaging research group at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. Since 2000, he has been appointed as a professor of computer science and transferred to the School of Engineering to teach.
