For veterans who have moved their household registration, they usually need to go to the police station where their household registration is located to settle in with a settlement introduction letter issued by the Veterans Resettlement Office or the Civil Affairs Bureau of the place where the files are received.
The specific procedure is:
When a soldier retires, the file will be sent directly from the original army to the district or county armed forces department at the place of enlistment or resettlement. Veterans should bring their discharge certificate and administrative letter of introduction issued by the army, report to the Ministry of Armed Forces where the files are received, and apply for reserve registration at the Ministry of Armed Forces. Then, the Ministry of Armed Forces will transfer the files to the Veterans Resettlement Office. If they are enlisted in rural areas The file will be transferred to the Civil Affairs Bureau, and you can go to the Veterans Resettlement Office or the Civil Affairs Bureau to inquire. After the file is submitted to the Civil Affairs Bureau, the Veterans Resettlement Office or the Civil Affairs Bureau will issue a letter of introduction for settling in. You just need to take the letter of introduction to the police station to settle in. It is very easy to handle.
